Patient Expert Advisory Team

Meet the Patient Expert Advisory Team (PEAT):

What is PEAT?

Mid-State Health Center is pleased to introduce its initiative to promote and improve our patients’ involvement in primary care, the “Patient Expert Advisory Team” (PEAT). The PEAT will serve as a volunteer advisory council, assisting Mid-State in improving the experience of those receiving Mid-State’s services. Who better to engage in this improvement process than the “experts”, our patients!

Mid-State’s Patient Expert Advisory Team members began meeting in January 2012. Their purpose is to give Mid-State constructive feedback on what we are doing well and what we need to improve. Their work so far includes exploring new ideas about how we can do a better job of communicating with our patients and their families, making sure our new patient brochure has the information patients need and brainstorming ways that Mid-State can create a “WOW” patient experience here at Mid-State.

Interested in becoming a member of the PEAT?

Team members are asked to participate in six meetings per year, on the third Tuesday, every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. If you are interested, please contact: Wendy Williams, Director of Advancement & Communications
